...and the mail man came home Part II
x*milo said: Couple of new additions to the bag the mailman brought yesterday...:1. Nakashima NX1 Satin 56º (55º), 60º. Bought from Rory (Indacup Golf) Beautiful clubs. Thin top line. Small head. Elegant finish. Took then to the par-3 course today. Scuffed two B330RX balls in five holes. Couldn't be happier. Again, half the cost of a Vokey or new 2010 Brand Wedge with absolutely no lag on performance. WONDERFUL...http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/5738/cimg0592g.jpg http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/3235/cimg0596o.jpghttp://img341.imageshack.us/img341/6561/cimg0600.jpg 2. TEE CB1 15º 3W with a UST V2 Stiff 75g Came from SilberUberXeno. He said it was in good condition but he lied. It is a mint TEE head. By the way, he is one of the nicest guys I've talked to, and I hope to be able to meet him one day. Finally!!!!!I've been wanting to have a TEE head since I registered in Shot Talk, and finally as able to get one. Took it to the range today as well. The shaft is WAY TOO STIFF for me. Distance was ok, around 290 internet yards (which goes for about 200 real yards :D). Trajectory is low and straight, perfect. The feel is a little bit weird, but I'm more than sure its due to the shaft. I have to start looking for a lighter stiff V2 or even maybe a regular V2 (offers are welcome :D)http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/4513/cimg0605d.jpghttp://img512.imageshack.us/img512/1893/cimg0607.jpghttp://img412.imageshack.us/img412/6290/cimg0609.jpg Just waiting for a 19.5º Fybrid and a couple of shaft changes and I'm done with my bag for 2009!!!!!! (Thank God there's only one month left for this year :D)

W*-Golfer said: Those Proforce V2 shafts are worse than rebar. Hated the one I had.
Y*ungun5 said: Amen to the ProForce hater club. the texture of the shaft itself just kills me. hate it. What shafts are in the Naks?
R*ckford35 said: The V2 is a weird shaft. It's completely different in every weight for every club. The 75g version in the driver is very stiff and the FW version is super soft. I liked the 75g in the driver when I hit it in the HiBore. I could smoke it. Never have tried it in a FW for any length of time tho. You'll love those wedges. I built a set of gunmetal NX1's for a guy I play with and his short game is 6 strokes a round better as a result. Awesome feel and peformance at a fantastic price. R35

Actually, the thing I love about the V2 is the texture, I find it awesome! I hate the color though. My Fybrid is coming with a V2 as well, but it come in red/gray instead of yellow/gray. I don't know what the shafts are, Rory just put them in. It's something like FST. If they work I'll leave them but might be thinking on throwing a spinner I have laying around just to try them....

Felt super stiff and dead and I couldn't do anything with that club. I tried out a Launcher 460 with a 65g version and it was a totally different shaft, kinda all over the place for me-it was weird actually. Anyway-like the look of those Naks, those are some nice lookin' wedges.

That's exactly how I feel about this shaft which is indeed a 75g (or 76?) stiff. It is perfectly straight, but I have to kill myself to get 200yds at most. I would like to play a regular V2 to see how it performs sinceI love the ball flight in the shaft....
S*lverUberXeno said: You're not hittin' it right. I'm tellin' you, I don't know exactly what it is about that shaft, but you'll know when you've done it right. The ball never falls. It's freakin' weird. More often than not you'll hit it too short. When you hit it correctly, you hit it so much longer than you think you can that it's equally useless. I'm not saying you should play it like that. But make sure you get a good rip out of it before you pass it on, just for the O_O factor. Look for an Aldila NVS, or an accuflex icon V2.

Yep, I agree with you, as well, that's what happens :D. It might be a while to pass it on, I've been really waiting to try a TEE head and I'm not letting it go that easy. Unfortunately, as you know, its not easy to get any shaft in here, but I'll try to win something on ebay and bring it here to try it out..... hehehehe By the way, how long dos that V2 installed plays?
B*gJim13 said: If you want a BEAST of a club you MUST put the NVS into the TEE head!!! I still kick myself for getting rid of it, the only other club that came close to that combo was the TEE with the Grafalloy Comp NT. Here is a cheap option, forget about the fact that it is pink, you will only feel weird until you hit them...NEW ALDILA NVS 85 S FLEX .335 Tip Wood - PINK - eBay (item 360158010932 end time Dec-21-09 07:07:49 PST)

F*TC1TY said: Nice wedges... That V2 is a odd shaft for sure. My father has one in his iMix FT5 and I dunno if I like the damn thing. It's just so dead.

B*gJim13 said: Quote: Originally Posted by xamilo How stiff does that play? cause the 75g stiff V2 is giving me all the trouble in the world and I'm worried about a heavier shaft... Definitely not as stiff as the V2, it's more of a mid launch shaft and I believe they had them in 75 g too. I actually installed it without tipping it because I was worried it would be to stiff. I ended up having to pull and tip it 1/2" and it was a beast.
Br*ndonM7 said: The 76g V2 is stiff as a f'in board. If you usually play stiff this and that, you'd probably be better suited to a R in the 76g V2. The 65g is a good bit softer, so if you get one of those stick with an S. I have a PL Blue 65 in my 3W that's similarly rebar-ish, but I think I got duped on it. It was supposedly uncut, but there's no way. I left it uncut into the 3W to soften it up a bit (they do play a bit stiff) but it still has to have been tipped at least an inch, maybe more. Although it's kind of neat to see a ball go 200yds without getting more than 5 feet off the ground, it's not all that useful. Gotta stick something else in there. I think I might do a V2HL 65 since I have one sitting around.
L*ftyHoges said: Why does everyone say the V2 is so stiff? I had a V2 76g Stiff in a bore-through Titleist head and the damn thing was so friggin whippy I couldn't stand it. Especially weak in the tip section. Not for me thanks....
