Ordered Saturday about midnight, like new condition, 195 clams shipped. Couldn't find a new one locally, and LeftiesOnly.com called Callaway and were told there were none to be had. A couple sold recently on Ebay for less, but I like the 1 year warranty and certification. Plus, I'm old, and Ebay scares me, like hard, crunchy foods or too much cheese. I hope I can hit it. That's the beauty of being a lefty. You get to buy clubs you've never tried. Now I have one driver shaped like a triangle and one like a square. Keeping my eyes open for a pentagon. High Launch, Low Spin. Or so I'm told. Thanks to the guys who offered advice a couple of weeks ago. Kevin

*sox said: After reading so many posts about this club I'm excited to give a try and glad the club experts think I did okay. I really like my funky triangle Titleist 701 D2 as I don't think I ever hit a driver more straight, but I'm hoping to get a little more carry and roll out of this one. My home course is built in an old quarry and has a lot of elevation changes. There are five holes with hilltop tees/launching pads. Two are par fives on which this club could really make difference. The 7th is a two level downhill par five that plays 535 from the tips. I used to just carry the top of the first level and the ball would bounce off the hill and end up 210 to 190 in. Last year I kept driving the ball just short of the hill edge and when it would bounce over I would end up on the hill side short of the second part of the fairway with a down hill lie in 2 1/2" rough at 220 to 230 in. It sucked. I didn't make one eagle on this hole last year when I used to make four or five a season. The 18th tee is on the same hilltop. It plays 525-540 from the tips. I can get the ball down to 230 in, but it slopes up rather sharply to the green and if I fly a wood or hybrid up that hill onto the green it bounces over into trouble. If I can carry this thing another ten yards the ball can get between two bunkers and could roll down a slight slope leaving me an iron shot into the green. I needs me some eagles. Keep in mind the tees on these holes are high up so it's not like I'm constantly bombing 330 yard drives. I am, however, tired of watching young whippersnappers get past these edges on a fly and ending up 40-50 yards in front of me. Last year I bought the hybrids for two long par threes and one long par four and they paid off tremendously. Maybe the driver can do the same. I'm hoping technology trumps age and fat. Kevin Low Spin, High Launch. Carry and Roll.
