Which Driver? HELP!!!

nc2t*rheels said: Ok, I want a new driver but don't have big time $$. I figure I can find a used one...but which ones should I look at? I don't swing very hard at all and I NEVER use my current driver (which is old). I usually tee off with my 5 wood because I'm so consistant with it. So what driver should I look into getting? I wanna spend around 150 or so. I know that's not much but I gotta be able to find something decent with that right? Literally, it takes two shots for me to equal my buddy off the drive and I'm a better golfer then him (his short game sucks).

*clark53520 said: GO to thetop of the forum and hit the "Pro Shop" link... Even the 3 star clubs in there are top notch and barely noticable wear, tons of people here have done business with that company and i think sling gets a kickback if you buy after clickign that link. So not only do you get a great club at a great price, you help out this board. ETA: As for which driver to get...i would go hit as many as possible and figure out which ones you like the best and look for those.

R*ckinMA said: you should probably look for a high lofted head that can help you keep it straight, but with some size to offer a bit more forgiveness - take a look for a driver with 14-16* of loft with a reg or A flex shaft. it should be longer and easier to hit off the tee than your 5 wood, and as long as you don't get too long of a shaft, should be in great shape

nc2t*rheels said: I've hit the FT-i and really liked it. I'm curious about the r7 though.

R*ckford35 said: If you liked the FT-i, grab one and play it for years. The R7 is nothing special. The FT-i is. R35

nc2t*rheels said: Since I tee off with my 5 wood..........and I don't hit neither my 3 or my driver, should I look to get the FT-i 3 wood first? I could tee off with that AND use it on the fairway as well. Trying to think of what will lower my score better :-) Either way, I'll pick up the other club in the next 2 months or so.

R*ckford35 said: The FT-i is super straight. Try and line up a 10.5* loft head in either Neutral or Draw configuration and a shaft that you like and go hit it. You'll hit so many fairways, you will wonder why you haven't been hitting that driver the whole time. It's a winner - just search through this forum and see how many guys have converted. It's pretty sick.:thumbs up: R35

Global is great, fast shipping and the clubs have always been better than expected.

D*Gris said: you can look on eBay.....you can pick up a nice Nike Sasquatch Sumo, Taylormade 580, R7, etc......for $40.00-$100.00

W*-Golfer said: I had an R7 driver, sold it as it wasn't the most forgiving club. Currently I have the ones in my sig & as others have said the FT-i is a fairway seeking missle. Even when my Burner is off target a bit, the FT-i still goes straight, weird.

St*nters said: Just another option but would have to say that the FT-i is a good choice but not the only oneCobra L4V-M Driver 12 Degree Used Golf Club at GlobalGolf.com
